Kim Bremmer grew up on a dairy farm in central Wisconsin and is a mother of two, graduate of UW-Madison and was an on-farm dairy nutrition consultant for almost 15 years. She started Ag Inspirations LLC in 2015 and has been advocating for farmers as a professional speaker, traveling across the country as well as internationally.
She is passionate about protecting the use of science, technology, and innovation in how we grow and raise food. Kim is also the Executive Director of Venture Dairy Cooperative, a new third-party milk verification co-op, where she advocates on policy to help protect farmers and promote the future of dairy in Wisconsin. She serves on the Executive Advisory Council for the American Dairy Coalition and the Advisory Board for Dairy Discovery at Swisslane Farms in Alto, Michigan.
Kim is the president of Wisconsin Women for Agriculture and a regular contributor on Rural Route Radio. She is an elected director for her county Farm Bureau, as well as local affairs chair, and her latest adventure is her election to the school board.
JACOB BURKS (Hedge Specialist)
Jacob was born and raised in Benton, AR. He earned his BS degree in Agriculture Business from Arkansas Tech University, and earned his Masters in Business Administration from Southeastern Oklahoma State University. Jacob joined First Capitol Ag in the Summer of 2005, in the Marketing Department and quickly found that his passion was in price management for agriculture producers. You may find Jacob speaking to groups about various tools available to hedge producer’s agricultural operations, working one-on-one with his private clients thought the grain marketing process or educating traders on our Managed Futures Program.
Jacob has always been very involved in rodeo. He began steer wrestling along with his dad and two brothers while in high school and continues to rodeo regionally. In 2007 and 2008, Jacob was the Great Lakes Circuit Champion Steer Wrestler. He represented the Great Lakes Circuit at the ’08 and ’09 Dodge National Circuit Finals in Pocatello, Idaho. In 2016, the highlight of Jacob’s career came when he qualified for RFDTV’s The American Rodeo in Cowboy Stadium, Dallas.
Since 2013, you could find Jacob on the sidelines for the Varsity Girls Basketball program as well as his daughter’s youth basketball teams. Jacob serves on the Wisconsin High School Rodeo Board of Directors as well as an Elder at the Lancaster Presbyterian Church.
While competing in college rodeo, he was lucky enough to meet his wife, Sara. They now have two beautiful girls, Bridee and Lainee.
KARL DALLEFELD (Prairie Creek Seed)
Karl has been involved with agronomy for the past 30 years and utilizes forages and cover crops in his own cattle operation. He has made a name for himself throughout the seed industry by speaking about forages and practical management in the U.S. and Canada at numerous educational presentations and conferences. In 2009, Karl co-founded Prairie Creek Seed to provide the best genetics and management advice to farmers.
Karl is driven to support agriculture and farmers as they work to improve their profitability and land stewardship. Karl oversees the company’s operations, is the leader in developing forage products, assists with general sales, provides tech support, and continues to teach producers the benefits of utilizing high-quality forages and focusing on soil health.
Mike Sabel taught ag students and farmers for 31 years through Mid-State Technical College. He is currently a part-time ag consultant in finance, crops, farm programs, estate planning, farm succession and dairy.
Mike enjoys listening to a farmer’s goals and help achieve them. Mike continues to correspond with FSA Directors, UW Extension staff and other industry experts as well as attend meetings and webinars on many topics.
Mike grew up on his family’s dairy farm in southeastern Wisconsin. His lifelong interest in agriculture production led him to the University of Wisconsin – Platteville, where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Agribusiness with a minor in Dairy Science. While still a student, Mike served a one-year term as a Wisconsin State FFA Officer.
In 1995, Mike began his work in the futures industry as an intern researching the technical and fundamental dynamics of commodity market price trends. Armed with that understanding, Mike helped to grow the company into one of the pioneers of market responsive option hedging programs. Armed with that knowledge, he was sought to address agricultural groups across the country as they wrestled with the topic of growing market volatility.
In 2014, Mike founded Commodity Risk Management Group (CRMG). CRMG would merge with Rice Dairy in 2019 to form ever.ag, a company which provides a suite of marketing and risk management services for producer, processor, and end user clients across its brokerage, insurance, advisory, and technology platforms while producing high-level unbiased research and education to help those clients make better decisions. The new company grew very quickly and in June 2021 merged with Dairy.com to further build upon shared technology synergies and an interest to empower supply chains to feed a growing world. Ever.Ag offers a vast array of solutions across all segments of agriculture.
Education continues to be one of Mike’s passions. Mike is routinely published in many agricultural periodicals, is a frequent guest on several national television programs such as AgDay, RFDTV, and the U.S. Farm Report, and is often heard on local and national radio programs. Mike has served as a part time professor at the University of Wisconsin – Platteville and regularly enjoys engaging agricultural audiences across America.
For over a decade, Mike served on the board of directors of the Dairy Business Association (DBA), the policy advocate for the Wisconsin Dairy Industry. He served one term as its president. Mike has been honored as the 2006 Rising Star in Business for the IA, IL, & WI Tri-State Region. His alma mater awarded him the Outstanding Alumni Award in 2011 and the Distinguished Alumni Award in 2021. Mike and his wife Jennifer have four daughters and are actively involved in showing animals, the leadership of their homeschool community and church. Mike is an avid sportsman who enjoys outdoor sports of every kind.

Steve is also founder of the Badger Business Challenge (BBC), a Shark Tank-style business contest for kids. The BBC puts kids in charge to create new business ideas and make the perfect sales pitch! Kids learn business concepts, practice soft skills and networking, and compete for candy and prizes! BBC is a non-profit with 501c3 status pending. Previously, Steve served as director of Business World, a summer camp that teaches kids about capitalism. When not in a classroom, Steve spends his time in gyms around the midwest coaching AAU basketball.
